with Saratov, Russia. Giving us a really nice historical and actual overview to her hometown ( I am really envie the fishing possibilities you got there )
with Ljubljana in Slovenia. Introducing to us the 2000 year old Dragon City with some impressive photography.
Probably I did think much too much about the process of finding a "winner". But now we are all winners, because here was created a lot of valuable content and noone was left with mere cents in rewards so far. I thank you all for your contributions.
So what did I do to find a winner? I checked the photography for originality, I checked the rewards that were already recieved, I tried to give the originality of the content several values (Informativity, humour, accuracy), I tried to value the quality of the original photos, I checked the formatting and I checked if a witness vote was given. At last, I did not care at all about timing, and knowledge of the english language. Finally I tried to put all this information in relation to the time spend on steemit (thus newcomers have a clear advantage to the "old hands" on this platform. When I was done, I got very clear 3 favourites and almost all the others on a very, very similar level, which made it almost impossible to decide which one had to be mentioned as better than the others.
Still I had to stick to my rules and here is the result:
5 honorable mentions (again in no specific order) 5 SBD sent to each of these:
(images taken from their articles, so all credit to them)
with Shakhty
with Ljubljana
with The Isle of Wight
with Lugano
with El Cajon
And now to the winners:
again all images taken from their articles and all credits to them!
Place 3 for 25 SBD:
with her chili-pepper-hot introduction to Xalapa
Place 2 for 50 SBD:
with her stunning photography of Annecy and perfection beyond any travel guide that you can buy
And Place 1 for 100 SBD:
who has given me one of the biggest laughters of the last weeks and a very unusual insight to a place, that I probably will never see, and wouldn't have seen if it weren't for Steemit. Polevskoy
Finally a big thanks to
for adding 100 SBD to the pricepool (and helping me finding the winners) and to
for lending me part of his votingpower to upvote each entry.
And at last a big thank you to
who inspired me with his idea of the #introduceyourhometown to this challenge. I created a chatroom, where he is a moderator, hoping there will be many more entries and discussions about our hometowns. I will check there regularly and upvote fitting entries...
