Well well well...
Cryptokitties, A digital crypto collectible game went Viral last year in December 2017.
The average price of a Crypto Kitty back then was about $25.
The game has then lost a lot of active users and the interest has fallen in the game.
A cat now costs roughly $2-$3.
Of course, the limited Edition Cats are pricey, like the Gen 0's and a Few special cats.
I remember the Genesis Cat being sold last year for $114,481.
This year also, there has been a freak sale like that where a Digital Cat was Sold for 600 Ether or $170,000 in September 2018.
As far as the Gen 0 Price Comparison goes, the price of a Gen 0 Cat was about 5-7 Ether in December 2017 and the price now is about 0.5 - 0.6 Ether.
Gen 0 Kitties are currently in the last month of their year long ICO that ends on 31st November 2018.
Post the ICO closure, the price of Gen 0 Cats may go up, as there will only be 50,000 Gen 0 Cats ever in the game and the only way a user can get a Gen 0 Cat after November, is to buy it from other users.
No New Gen O Cats will can be created by breeding either.
With the Investment of Google, Samsung and Venrock, Cryptokitties aims to revive the Game and reward its early adopters. They plan to introduce Blockchain to approximately 1 Billion People via the game.
_
The investment is actually made into Dapper Labs, the startup that spun out of parent firm Axiom Zen, that launched Cryptokitties.
Their marketing effort has been good lately as they have roped in HTC who has launched a Blockchain Phone called Exodus 1 that comes with Cryptokittes App and a hardware wallet to store all the Cryptocurrencies.
Well, I am tracking the game since last year and I had written off the game.
But now, it seems Cryptokitties is at an inflection point and hopefully they can bring in a Billion People to Blockchain via their game.
