My What Will the Price of Steem be at the End of March 2020? contest is going to need an emergency rules change.
When first posted, it said “The closest prediction will win the Steem/SBD liquid rewards from this post as well as a #steembasicincome unit and one PALcoin and one LEO token.”
Since then Justin Sun launched his #hostiletakeover so I’m tossing that out the window because my time on the Steem blockchain will soon be ending. But since the contest rules say
I am changing the rules mid-contest.
The original post had a payout of 1.69 SP, 1.319 STEEM, and 0.071 SBD.
As of the deadline for posting predictions, we had six entrants:
$0.33 -
$0.28 -
$0.27 -
$0.26 -
$0.25 -
$0.19 -
Due to the upcoming fork, everything is up in the air. I will not be active on the rotting corpse of the Steem blockchain after the fork; I will be moving to the Hive blockchain.
So I won’t be awarding either STEEM or SBD. Will #steembasicincome units be converted to #hivebasicincome units? Will Steem-Engine tokens morph into Hive-Engine tokens? How to judge predictions for one blockchain based on price discovery mechanisms of another chain? There are so many unknowns.
By the powers vested in me as judge and all-powerful pooh-bah, I hereby declare the results of the March 2020 contest to be a six-way draw and will award 1 Hive token to each of the participants on or about April 1st.
