Es habitual que el autor y sus novelas estén más ligadas que por la creatividad; sino que en muchos casos, se trata de transformar las vivencias del autor en historias. En el caso de Turguénev que sufrió mucho por verse vinculado a un triángulo amoroso, acabó reflejando mucho de su sentir y en los temas que abarca en su obra, especialmente en esta. Publicada en 1860.
It is common for authors and their novels to be linked by more than just creativity; in many cases, it is a matter of transforming the author's experiences into stories. Sinopsis: Un ciudadano ruso, llamado Vladímir Petróvich, es solicitado para contar su primer amor. El accede, narrando su vida a los 16 años, y como su juventud se ve trastocada cuando una princesa con apuros económicos y su hija Zinaida se mudan a una casa cercana. Zinaida, joven de 21 años, hará participe de varios juegos a Vladimir y sus variados pretendientes. El idealismo de él chocará con un evento inimaginable.
Synopsis: A Russian citizen named Vladimir Petrovich is asked to recount his first love. He agrees, narrating his life at age 16 and how his youth is disrupted when a princess in financial straits and her daughter Zinaida move into a nearby house. Zinaida, a 21-year-old, involves Vladimir and his various suitors in several games. His idealism will clash with an unimaginable event.

La historia se centra, como dice el título, en el primer amor, uno en que la inocencia y el idealismo marca la percepción de las personas. Donde hay mucho mayor rango para perdonar o acceder a “juegos” que no llevan a ningún lado. La obra lo hace de una manera excelente, mostrando el pensar del protagonista, en que la emoción lo supera.
The story focuses, as the title suggests, on first love, one in which innocence and idealism shape people's perceptions. Where there is much more scope for forgiving or agreeing to “games” that lead nowhere. The play does this excellently, showing the protagonist's thoughts as he is overcome by emotion.
Habrá mucho de cotidianidad en los pasajes mostrados, desde presentaciones hasta los mencionados juegos. Generando variedad de emociones en el inexperto Vladimir, como celos, júbilo, esperanza, etc; todo acumulado, volviendo esta etapa de su vida muy intensa.
There will be a lot of everyday life in the passages shown, from presentations to the aforementioned games. Generating a variety of emotions in the inexperienced Vladimir, such as jealousy, joy, hope, etc.; all accumulated, making this stage of his life very intense.

Por otro lado, en eventos posteriores, Vladimir chocará con la realidad, y es que el amor, y los vicios que puede tener, puede ir en varias direcciones. A su vez, se hará una muestra de los variados pretendientes de Zinaida, que tratarán de ganar el corazón de la joven, por diversas vías.
On the other hand, in later events, Vladimir will come face to face with reality, namely that love, and the vices it can entail, can go in many directions. At the same time, we will see Zinaida's various suitors, who will try to win the young woman's heart in different ways.
Y más allá del final, deja un mensaje sobre cómo muchos de nuestros primeros amores, pueden ser tan fuertes emocionalmente y que nos hace actuar de maneras inconcebibles, pero que en el tiempo, solo se acaban transformando en recuerdos.
And beyond the ending, it leaves a message about how many of our first loves can be so emotionally powerful that they make us act in inconceivable ways, but that over time, they just end up becoming memories.
Es fácil de leer, y por mi parte me ha hecho conocer al autor, espero seguir leyendo más de sus obras. Recomendable.
