War, starvation and suffering are painful realities in our world today. From one nation to another, we see people crying, families broken and lives destroyed.
However, the Bible does not ignore these problems instead it gives us clear guidance on what can be done.
Firstly, the Bible calls for love and peace. In Matthew 5:9, Jesus said “Blessed are the peacemakers” this means that as believers, we must not promote violence but work towards unity and reconciliation. War often begins from hatred, pride, greed etc, these are things God warns us against.
Secondly, concerning starvation, the Bible teaches us to care for the needy. God expects us to be our brother’s keeper even in little ways, feeding the hungry and supporting the weak reflects God’s heart.
In times of suffering the Bible encourages faith and hope. Romans 12:12 says “Be patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer”. Suffering may not end immediately but God promises to be with us through it all.
The biblical solution is clear which is love instead of hate, giving instead of selfishness and faith instead of despair. When we live according to God’s word, we become instruments of peace and healing in a broken world.
