We gave our daughter an old camera we had lying around. It's a touchscreen canon that had some issues with it. More or less, we didn't use it as a primary device.
She actually picked it up pretty quick. She started doing photos first. Lots of photos. Then after I showed her how to do video and after we did an audition video for a talent agency in Taipei, she started doing video to her hearts content. MAKE SURE TO TURN ON SUBTITLES!
