Lotus
frost has struck impatient petals
warmth within the bud will outlast the frigid
spread your roots beneath you
when the storm dies, the cold gives up
your promised beauty will bloom
all is stored within you

open your eyes
life unfolds around you
at darkness end
illusions are unveiled
shadows made light
open you petals
colour the air
in the stillness ...
I will find myself within you
