TGIMF
TGIMF!!! Thank god it is Market Friday.
As a Hivelander, it has come to that for me. When I think of Friday, I think of #marketfriday. I don't work a Monday to Friday or a nine to five, and I now mark my week by what themed day, it is. Wednesday Walk, Market Friday, Caturday, and Sublime/Beautiful Sunday. What days have I missed? Let me know in the comments what themed Hive days you take part in.
This Market Friday we will once again visit the Vancouver Art Gallery.
We recently renewed our membership.
The Vancouver Art Gallery offers a monthly membership where you pay a one-time sign up fee of 29 dollars and then 5 dollars a month after that, but you can skip the months you think you will be too busy to visit, or there is nothing new for you to see.
Membership includes an art program for you and your young-ones. Kids get in for free. Always. You will only need a membership for yourself and your spouse, if you got one; so belonging in this case is not too expensive and with some excellent benefits, especially if you homeschool. You won't have to plan an art program.
The projects are usually themed-up with whatever is being featured in the exhibits. The gallery is currently featuring a show called Fashion Fictions. It includes quite a few snazzily-designed sneakers, trainers, and runners.
We were given sneaker templates, markers, and metallic gel pens to design our own shoes. Minime is still a tad challenged with fine-motor skills, and so it was a great way for him to practice. He seemed quite taken with this project. What teen-age boy doesn't love his sports shoes?
A big thank you to the beautiful and talented host of #marketfriday that is .
