I made my last #upfundme for my grandson and plane ticket. I have 4 or 5 days left #upfundme premium so I will use the remaining days for my need.
I am a diabetic so I need to monitor my blood sugar. It is expensive if I have to get an FBS (fasting blood sugar) weekly or monthly so most diabetics has a glucose meter. I have one from my brother and from my daughter from the US. The problem is that the strips are different from here. I saw one for the One-touch from my brother but it is so expensive. 50 test strips is 1400-1900 pesos. I just saw that I have enough strips just for this month so I need to buy. The 50 is good for 2-3 months only.
This is the set they are selling. I hope they will still have stock when I am able to save money.
I saw this on Shoppee cheaper than from Lazada and same brand. The price is 1200 for the glucose meter and 50 test strips. I can buy strips from them and it is cheaper. They have only 23 left hope I can buy before they run out. My brother said it does not have to be branded and generic is ok. If he will send me strips for the brand he gave me next year, the strips he sends may have a longer expiration.
I also decided to buy extra 50 strips for 700 because the expiration is in 2020. At least the 100 strips will last me 3-5 months because I don't check daily usually 2-3 times a week unless I don't feel well. But only 11 stocks left but the seller said they usually restock once they have less than 5 left.
It may seem not a big amount but this months allowance is almost depleted. I had to get an eye check-up and the eye drops are expensive. Also because of family problems, my uncle was buried here, my cousin was critically ill and now she died, I will have to spend extra to attend even 1 vigil and then her burial on Monday Aug. 13, 2018.
Goal:
2,200.00 pesos for the glucose meter and extra strips plus shipping.
$44.00 = 41 sbd (rate 8-8-18 1sbd=$1.06)

Whatever amount I get in 5 days will be a big help. I might be able to come up with the difference. I hope I can. Since I noticed we are not receiving SBD I hope I can get enough Steem to help. This is my 2nd to the last post. Tomorrow is the last, I hope I can get enough, BUt I don't think I can but whatever amount I will be forever thankful.
