My love for sweet rides is so out of this world, especially for sport cars and anything looking like a G-wagon. You can say this is one of my worldly obsession after a high spec gaming PC, i don’t take things like these for granted. Hopefully, i get to have more than one someday. For now, i’d just admire them virtually and on the road...

Honestly, i just couldn’t help but smile at my first sighting of this topic, and that was because my friends and i just had a similar conversation about it earlier this morning. One of us saw a Mercedes-AMG earlier this morning and immediately rushed into the crib to tell the guys about it, and just like that we all started sharing our different experiences with sweet rides, so the moment i saw this prompt was about rides ( self-driving cars), i just couldn’t help but feel happy and eager to write about it, since it’s something my friends and I just talked about a couple of hours ago…
Moving on, self-driving cars are indeed the future. When you hear self-driving cars, the first thing that should come to your mind as a user or an aspiring user should be “EASE” and “COMFORTABILITY”. In as much as an invention like this was created with humans in mind, we also can’t dismiss the fact that with the numerous advantages cars like this have, there comes with it numerous disadvantages too. We should only not be blinded by its good sides, we should also consider the cons that comes with it on the long run…
No doubt about the fact that self-driving cars are indeed quite rampant in so many foreign countries, unlike in a country like mine where the ratio of the people who own it are just so little. Self-driving cars are owned by the BIG MEN and BOYS in this part of the world, even some rich men who can afford it have chosen not to buy it because of their trust issues. Even a car with a driver is prone to different levels of accidents, not to talk more of a car with no driver. I don’t think our level of trust in an invention like that is that high…
Hacking and unexpected malfunctioning are two distinct disadvantages of self-driving cars. This is something i know quite well, i know this from movies. Once it’s hacked, the control will totally be in someone else’s hand and anything can happen in the meantime, which is why i’d prefer cars with human drivers…
In terms of accidents, when preventable accidents occur, i believe the car owner should be the one to pay for it. Accidents are part of the risks of a car. I believe no one in his or her right mind would intentionally drive a car as expensive as a self-driving car to accident. So if possible try not to be involved in any form of accident or else you’ll have to pay for damages. I don’t think a car can pay for itself if a preventable accident occurs, at the end of the day, the owner would be the one to shoulder the bills…
