I have been in this particular country for more than two decades, and since birth I don’t think i have ever enjoyed one season more than the other and that is because the two seasons making up my country has its own advantages and disadvantages, which makes everything more complicated than normal…
We have both rainy season and dry season, these two seasons have their own unique effects and disadvantages, which means they can come in handy in some cases and can also be hectic in other cases, imagine being in a dry season(hot) and there is no constant power supply to regulate the temperature of the county, another logical example is when farmers suffer from drought during dry season. In this case we would blame the season for its irregularities…
Let’s also apply this same logic during the rainy season, imagine being in a raining season and our laundries don’t dry until after many days of being spread out, thanks to constant rainfall, or the inability to go to our respective places of work because of constant and excessive rainfalls. All these logical examples are some of the disadvantages of each seasons. They also have so many advantages…
The truth is that each season has its own advantages and draw backs, they are mostly useful when they come at the right time and not when it’s not needed. When it comes to seasons, I don’t really think i have any favorite season, i just happen to have a particular season that does well with me, and that season is non other than the THE RAINY SEASON…
I grew up in a community where children of different ages, backgrounds and genders come together to play together whenever there’s an heavy downpour. Whenever it rains heavily, children from different families would come together to have fun with each other while playing in the rain. This particular activity strengthens the bond and also serves as a beautiful childhood memory…
I have always loved the weather more when it rains heavily, the environment and the atmosphere becomes chilly and cold most times, and i love being cold to an extent, unlike when it’s sunny…
One of the reasons why i love rainy season is because of the ability to regulate/bring extremely cold temperature into normalcy, I believe when the weather gets too cold and extremely chilly, one can regulate one’s level of coldness into a state of feeling not too cold and not too hot, this can be achieved by wearing some particular type of clothing, and for chilly seasons wearing multiple clothings and thick layered clothes are the best to avoid being sick…
Too much of everything can be bad and harmful, another reason why i love rainy season is because rainy seasons are the best time for NETFLIX and CHILL, and watching movies all day with a cinematic setting and that too with one’s partner in the comfort of different refreshments and snacks is a LIFE of its own. I am a big lover of Netflix and chills, and the best time to enjoy this is during rainy season, a room cinema thingy and refreshments…
lastly, another reason why i love and prefer rainy season to dry season is because of the excuses of not having to go to work on some days. When it rains nonstop i am always happy to an extent, and that is because the rain itself is a good excuse for my absence from work that day. A free day means a longer day of fun and enjoyment…
In conclusion, rainy season has both good and bad sides, but the advantages are worth more, I would choose it over and over again for the above reasons…
