Today is "Mini Diwali". Do not know how this term comes into play however, the day before Diwali is popularly known as mini Diwali. It is not as grand as Diwali used to be. But one can see people busy in celebration or preparing for the big day.
Diwali is commonly known as festival of lights all over the world. On this day people lit up their houses with lights, bulbs or oil lamps or candles. The festival also honours Hindu goddess Ganesha and Lakshmi. Godess Lakshmi is associated the wealth, prosperity and beauty while lord Ganesha is associated success and the remover of obstacles.
The day before Diwali, people can be seen busy in cleaning actives or visiting friends and relatives to exchange Diwali wishes and gifts. Packages of Dry fruits being the most common gifts item for all. But I have a little differrnt gift this year from my Dad.
i like the blue reflection on the edges. I made use of my woolen blanket and a my mirror to shot. It comes out nicely to me
It is one of the precious gift I ever received. And I really like the choice and timing of this gift. Packed in cylinderical box, it looks very awesome I try to capture it from differrnt angle. There is an importsnt logic behind this gift. And I think I need to hold it a bit before disclosing.
It is a Timeswear brand analog watch, with white dial and numbers. It has stainless steel body and wrist strap. It is not a fancy piece, but I like the simplicity of it. Before jumping over my Dad's logic, here are more of my mobile photography of this gift.
Before this piece, I did not owned any watch, and my Dad finding me misutilisng lot of my time in my art work. He made sure to gift me this so that i value time more. Also there is a tradition of gifting a watch when kids are growing up.
This is a perfect gift for me and my Diwali really get so special.
All the pictures are taken using my mobile with little bit of light adjustment through phone adjustment. Hope you like my work.
