I am very happy to finally be getting involved in one of

This is a perfect contest for me as I take photos every day and also live in a place where there are constantly plants and animals! In fact I got an even more epic snake photo the other day but could not get a "proof" shot (which is actually the hardest part of the contest rules hahaha)
This is a really big grasshopper probably 4 inches long and the back of the jumper legs are so sharp with serrated blades they will draw blood if you try and catch them improperly.
I really love nature because there is constantly something to learn and so much beauty to behold.
I found this grasshopper on one of my shiso crops which I just made an extensive post about last week here. The shiso plant is quite awesome in it self and whats cooler is that we have lots of grasshoppers here but they are constantly evolving!
As you can see this grasshopper looks just like the varying shades of redish purple and green. Most grasshoppers are green as they live in grasses but this is a shiso adapted grasshopper!
Grasshoppers as with most bugs are super powerful and can jump hundreds of times their height and as you can see adapt very quickly. Some of them around here even get as big as 5 inches long!
This is my first entry to this great contest and I plan on entering much more because its fun and also because I like to support
