Hello Everyone
The word "KECEBONG", often hear and see in various media in Indonesia, both social media, print media and electronic media. This word can't be separated in the political conditions that are hot in Indonesia, where next year the general election will take place, to elect representatives of the people (senator) and president of Indonesia.
The word "KECEBONG" that I often hear and see, is a term or expression for those who support certain candidates in the upcoming general election. I will not mention who the candidate is, because this article is not a political intention!
Regardless of politics, but more in terms of science, "KECEBONG" is another word or name for tadpoles, namely the stages of life experienced by amphibians. Amphibians are animals that can live on land and in water (live two places).
Tadpole Morphology
Body
Body shape is related to the place of life or habitat. Tadpoles are generally compressed (higher than wide), and can be depressed (wider than high). The shape is adjusted according to the type of food and lives in a swift flow.
Spiral
Spirals function to remove water from the buchoparyngeal space after being pumped into the mouth through the gills. There are 4 configurations of spiracles, namely in the middle part of the dorsal, in the middle of the body near vent tube, sinistral (one on the left side of the body, very common), and two on the right-left side of the body (lateral).
Narial Hole
The position of the narial hole can be closer to the eye than the mouth, closer to the mouth than the eye, or in the middle between the eyes and mouth.
Eye
Tadpoles can be dorsal, are entirely on the dorsal, or lateral silhouette, including the dorsal silhouette, the eyes are lateral (lateral). The position and size of the eye diameter vary between taxa.
Tube Vent
There are two vent tube configurations, namely the medial vent which is located on the edge of the ventral fin, and dextral vent which is located in various places to the right of the ventral fin.
Tail
Tadpole tail consists of the middle muscle, myotomic and notochord muscles, but has no bones. The dorsal and ventral fins are located along the tail muscle. The dorsal fin can extend from the part of the body close to the eye, extending from the dorsal part of the tail and extending from the posterior part of the body. The dorsal and ventral fin widths vary from very wide to very narrow. This fin width is related to the tadpole habitat. Wide fins are owned by tadpoles that live in calm water (ponds, ponds), while tadpoles that live in moderate-flowing streams have narrow fins.
