Good day everyone,
I thought it was about time I updated the community on how my VW Crafter van conversion is going.
It has been slow progress. Partly due to a attending several friends weddings all over the country, partly due to moving house and doing over 4000 miles of driving in a month. Those things and the fact that and I have been figuring out how to do things, spending a lot of time scratching my head and drinking tea and coffee.
Life in the country side is lovely. Its beautiful here in Hickling, Norfolk. Its a bit out of the way with not a lot going on but the local pub is fantastic and the weather is significantly better then Manchester and I have a lot more room to work on the van.
Since I last posted I have finished Insulating and sealing the van, I have fit roof vents, water tanks, an awning, solar panels, ply lined and clad the roof. Most of the electrics and water pipes are in and the this week I have started building the shower enclosure.
Here is a few pics of how its going:
The side walls insulated and gaps filled with expanding foam
The vapor barrier on walls and sealing over insulation and then batons fixed to sides and roof. I cut the wooden batons from a sheet of ply I had.
The roof vents and solar panels. Before fitting awning.
Under slung fresh water tank fitted
Ceiling clad with wood and start of shower enclosure being built
I will update more in the next few days, thanks for reading!
Peace, love and light
