I'm calling it finished, finally. I hadn't touched it in a long time, then I picked it up yesterday because it was so close and worked on it. Unfortunately, at some time in the process, I must have skipped a bit of tan across the canvas, because there's a tiny couple of skid marks I need to fix. Calling it done anyway.
This is the second installation into my Iliad series! I have many many scanned pages from the book I read ages ago.
Here's the excerpt for this one:
Iliad I 250
He found no ship in sight, but on the shore
Three wandering stags. Behind them whole herds followed
Grazing in a long line down the valleys.
Planting his feet, he took in hand the bow
And arrows carried by his aide Achates
Then, aiming for the leaders with heads high
And branching antlers, brought them first to earth.
Going to start designing the next one soon! Plus the next clown one I've been planning!
