In Lagos Mainland lived a couple named Fola and Adegoke who were happily married but unable to have children naturally. For many years, they prayed and searched for solutions to their problem. They visited different hospitals and specialists, hoping for good news. They also tried IVF several times, but none of the attempts were successful. The situation became painful and frustrating for them, especially for Fola, who faced pressure from family members and society.
Fola’s mother strongly believed that the problem was spiritual, so she took her daughter to a Celestial priest for deliverance. The priest claimed that evil spirits were responsible for her barrenness and said the spirits needed to be driven out. During the process, Fola was seriously beaten on her back all in the name of chasing away the spirit of barrenness. Despite the pain and suffering she went through, nothing changed after the deliverance.
After many disappointments, Fola and Adegoke decided to consider surrogacy as another option to become parents. Though people around them had different opinions about it, the couple chose to focus on their desire to have a child. They followed the medical process carefully and remained hopeful throughout the journey.
At the end of the surrogacy process, their prayers were finally answered when they welcomed a bouncing baby girl into their family. The birth of the child brought joy, peace, and happiness to their home after years of pain and disappointment. Fola and Adegoke became grateful for never giving up on their dream of becoming parents. Their story shows that parenthood can come in different ways and that hope should never be lost, even during difficult times.
