Introducing myself to the HIVE community
My name is Rafael Sánchez Marrero. A graduate of Civil Engineering, but with more than 30 years of experience as a computer scientist. I still like construction, but I´m passionate about information technologies and programming. This does not mean that I am only a hobbyist in these subjects. Over the years I have been interested in mathematics, physics, astronomy, astrology, theosophy and other topics that, although contradictory, complement each other. Yes, I am one of those who think that science and religion are not enemies, but that between the two they lead us to have a more complete understanding of the universe.
Much of my experience as a computer scientist has been dedicated to supporting economic management activity, accompanying these processes from inventory control, through accounting to the issuance of reports and financial results, so I have had no choice but to learn about these topics and ... they have ended up liking me.
What else can I tell you to get to know me better? I like photography, walks with family, pets. I will tell you about that later.
For a few years I have been interested in the subject of cryptocurrencies, trading, technical analysis and I learned to appreciate the world of block chains, their ecosystems and the economic independence they represent.
When I learned about HIVE, by reference from a friend, I saw the opportunity to learn more, exchange, collaborate, grow and transmit ideas and experiences with the freedom that this ecosystem transmits. I was even more surprised, when participating in the Second HiveCubaCon, the existence of a motley, but united, community of Hivers in Cuba. This team of content creators, fighters, eager to express themselves, to teach and learn, will go far. I just want to join that joyful, although mysterious, expedition to the future.

Mi nombre es Rafael Sánchez Marrero. Graduado de Ingeniería Civil, pero con más de 30 años de experiencia como informático. Me siguen gustando las construcciones, pero me apasionan las tecnologías de la información y la programación. Esto no quiere decir que solo sea aficionado a estos temas. A lo largo de los años me he interesado por las matemáticas, física, astronomía, astrología, la teosofía y otras temáticas que, aunque parezca contradictorio, se complementan. Sí, soy de los que piensan que la ciencia y la religión no son enemigas, sino que entre las dos nos llevan a tener una comprensión más completa del universo.
Gran parte de mi experiencia como informático la he dedicado a dar soporte a la actividad de gestión económica, acompañando estos procesos desde el control de inventarios, pasando por la contabilización hasta la emisión de informes y resultados financieros por lo que no me ha quedado más remedio que aprender de estos temas y… han terminado por gustarme.
¿Qué más puedo contarles para que me conozcan mejor? Me gustan las fotografías, los paseos en familia, las mascotas. Ya les contaré sobre eso.
Desde hace unos años me he interesado por el tema de las criptomonedas, el trading, el análisis técnico y aprendí a apreciar el mundo de las block chains, sus ecosistemas y la independencia económica que representan.
Al conocer de HIVE, por referencia de una amiga, vi la oportunidad de conocer más, intercambiar, colaborar, crecer y trasmitir ideas y experiencias con la libertad que trasmite este ecosistema. Más me sorprendió, al participar en el Segundo HiveCubaCon, la existencia de una abigarrada, pero unida, comunidad de Hivers en Cuba. Este equipo de creadores de contenido, luchadores, ávidos de expresarse, de enseñar y aprender, llegaran lejos. Yo solo pretendo unirme a esa alegre, aunque misteriosa, expedición al futuro.
