Xin chao! ݁ ˖Ი𐑼⋆ It's been a while and I've missed this space. I just came back from a 3-day trip with family and friends. Look forward for some cozy ambiance, solace, and fun at the same time. Hope you enjoy this!
It was on the 30th of April when we packed a good amount of clothes, marinated meat to grill, and finally departed our home by noon. My mother and her colleagues decided to book a villa in The Honey House, Sóc Sơn Vietnam to spend two days and one night and have leisure. As Filipinos, of course grilling was a necessity so two boxes of meat containing marinated chicken and pork was brought. Furthermore, a lot of snacks, drinks, and beverages were also bought. It was a total feast with everything that's put on the table.
When we arrived at the house, everyone helped each other with preparing the sauce, cooking the other dishes, some were washing the plates, everyone did their part while busting a music, which was perfect to set the mood.
There was a swimming pool at the place, however, it wasn't huge as we expected, nevertheless, everyone swam and enjoyed the water. The adults were drinking cocktails, we played games together, after, DINNER TIME!!
The table was filled with foods, the lights were so cozy, the music on the background, the chattering and laughs from everyone made the moment so memorable. It was as if I was back in the Philippines with my big family during a fiesta in the province. Stomachs were filled and everyone have the energy to sing their hearts out. KARAOKE!! A Filipino outing cannot be completed without a sing-off. The other huts and villas also had their time singing during the night, so it was pretty noisy yet fun.
On the afternoon of May 1st, my family transferred to another villa to reunite with some relatives and other friend group of my mother. The villa was just across the place we stayed. The Moonlight House. Its houses are surrounded with trees like the twilight movie. The whole space were occupied with greens which gave it more earthy vibe compared to the Honey House. This is our house for two days.
This might be an inspiration for my future house, very cozy, it has a swing, huge space, and very open to sunlight. I felt hungry so I decided to create fire and grill the pork that my mom marinated. Everyone helped arranging the table, cleaning the area, and organizing the foods on the table. While preparing for dinner, we rented a speaker so we can have karaoke and sing our hearts out.
There was also a swimming pool which is much bigger than the first. I had fun with my siblings all day. My whole stay at that house felt more like home in the mountains. I found solace even when I'm just walking, breathing, and simply just being there, I felt so alive. I brought my journal with me and sketchpad to spend time with myself also and it was the best decision. I spent time with my hobbies in such a perfect abode.
When the night came, the adults decided to play BINGO card, so me and my siblings decided to join. There were more games played during that night, MAFIA, THE IMPOSTER, and GUESS MY THOUGHT. It was genuinely fun and everyone had a good laugh. We decided to sleep when we realized we still have time to spend for the next morning until checkout.
It was a 3-day trip of solace and laughs. A good way of ending April and welcoming May. A gift of company, food, and time for everyone. The short vacation gave me a long-term fuel to experience the rest of the months. I am grateful for the time I spent in Sóc Sơn and will forever cherish the little moments from that trip with everyone. That's all!! I hope you guys can also have that kind of trip where it's grounding and enough to be alive during the moment.
See you around, rainebows! I hope you had a good time reading my blog.
