In other words it's my birthday today! :)
I am very grateful to my mother who carried me for a bit more than 9 months and who went through the pains of natural birth. I know from her that it was a long labor and that I was about two weeks overdue.
The doctors were surprised when she went for her check-up that I was not born yet. Apparently I was not in a hurry at all to come out of my mother's womb. :)
Eventually they gave her something to speed up the process and eventually I came out. I was quite a big baby, almost 4kg and 54cm length.
And very loud.
Lemme explain. In those times there was a habit to keep the baby away from the mother between nursing times. (From what I heard this is beginning to be replaced with the healthier one of keeping the baby close to the mother as much as possible, thank God!)
So when the feeding time was close my mother told me she would hear my scream louder than all the other babies crying. While the nurses brought the babies to the mothers she recognised my voice from afar. I was that loud when I was hungry. :)
Fortunately I'm not crying and screaming anymore when I'm hungry but still, I get a bit edgy :)
I leave you with another batch of Freesias that I received today from my dear partner . I feel so spoiled during this time of the year with the "Mărtisor" on 1st of March, my birthday and the 8th of March when we celebrate Women's Day.
Have a wonderful day!
Namaste
