Where is Your Life Changing Travel Destination??
I started planning a trip to Portugal in November this time of last year,
so I’m thinking about Portugal a lot these days.
When people asked about the thier life chagning country to world travelers,
many people say it was Portutugal
For me, Portugal is a city of love and also hatred. The reason is...
I've been sick for 10 days while I was in Portugal.
It took twenty hours to get to Portugal. When I arrived there I was exhausted.
But I had to deal with the problem at the hotel with check-in,
after that, I felt like I don't have any energy left lol.
After checked in, I took a shower, and lay down in bed, and...
I couldn’t get sleep because of the jet lag :(
I spent ten days in Portugal, and I only slept for 10 hours in total.
I'm not a sensitive person with sleeping, and I could not imagine that I would not be able to
adjust to the time difference because I was sleeping well anytime and anywhere.
I became a zombie and I had to meet new people at the Steemfest.
Wherever you turn your eyes in Portugal, everywhere looked like pictures.
The weather was perfect as well.
Well... it was a little bit uncomfortable that Portuguese people looking at me with curious eyes because I'm an Asian.
I might feel a little bit of racism and sexism in Europe for the first time, but I learned that I had to forget because I did not want to ruin my precious trip even if I had to go through it.
I was tired, but SteemFest2 was super fun! I made a lot of good friends!!
Even though we all had different nationality, age, and occupation etc.
I brought Korean souvenir such as ramen, spicy snacks, and people looked happy with my small present! It made me even happier!
I also brought my Hanbok which Korean traditional clothes, oh well... the wearing Hanbok all day wasn't easy... lol
Cheap coffee that I drank almost every morning
A bar in Lisbon that made me think I was in 1930s.
Yess!! Portugal is famous with wine!!!
It was so delicious that it didn't seem to be drunk even if you drank it a lot.
With
I went to Porto alone after finished Steemfest. And I was sick really badly during the whole time.
I tried to looking for a restaurant for have meal before take some pills, but I couldn't go in any restaurant because I didn't make a reservation :(
And surprisingly, I found McDonalds!!!
I was little bit sad that I'm eating McDonald's in Porto, but I felt little better because I was eating Big Mac in the most beautiful McDonald's in the world.
I was exhausted during my trip to Portugal so I just wanted to go home soon, but if I'm thinking about that trip now, I think it gave me the opportunity to learn lots of things that I couldn't have known if I just stay at home. Of course, everything is unfamiliar, difficult, and felt lonely I could grow up with my experience.
I didn't know that I would miss Portugal this much.
These days, I’m looking for cities, tourist attractions, and things to do, restaurants for my next trip to Portugal! I'm not sure when it's going to be, but I also want to visit Spain, Morocco since they're really close!
