Today I visited a museum in my city and took some photos during the visit and while walking around after. Nothing special maybe, but I liked the feeling of stopping and looking at things I normally ignore. So here are some moments from the afternoon through my lens!
¡Hola familia de Hive! No siempre hace falta irse lejos para sentir que descubres algo nuevo.
Esta tarde fui a un museo de mi ciudad y aproveché para hacer algunas fotos durante la visita y paseando después. Nada especialmente espectacular, pero me gustó la sensación de parar un momento y fijarme en cosas que normalmente paso por alto. Así que aquí os dejo algunos momentos de esa tarde vistos a través de mi cámara
Before entering the museum I wanted to show you some street photos I took around the city centre. I really like graffiti and here in Valencia there are some artists that appear everywhere in different areas. I don't know if this also happens in your city, but once you start paying attention you begin recognising some styles immediately. For example this rabbit over the tiger, made by Barbiturikills, who has many works around the city. I also wanted to show you a little corner of the old town that I found especially beautiful. There are many places like this here and maybe another day I will photograph more of them, but this one caught my attention. And continuing with street art, this other horizontal photo was taken another day and it is also one of his murals. It is huge, full of characters and every time I look at it I find some new detail. I think it is super creative. What do you think?
Antes de entrar al museo quería enseñaros algunas fotos callejeras que hice por el centro. Me encantan los grafitis y aquí en Valencia hay artistas que aparecen muchísimo por distintas zonas. No sé si en vuestra ciudad también pasará, pero cuando empiezas a fijarte acabas reconociendo algunos estilos enseguida. Por ejemplo este del conejo sobre el tigre, que es de Barbiturikills y tiene bastantes por aquí. También quería enseñaros un rincón del casco antiguo que me pareció especialmente bonito. Hay mil sitios así por esta zona y seguramente otro día fotografiaré otros, pero este me llamó la atención. Y siguiendo con el arte urbano, esta otra foto horizontal la hice otro día y también es un mural suyo. Es enorme, está lleno de personajes y cada vez que lo miro encuentro algún detalle nuevo. Me parece súper creativo. ¿Qué os parece a vosotros?
Once inside we finally enter the CCCC, the Centro del Carmen. Every time I come here I end up taking similar photos because there is something about this place that I really like. Especially the cloisters, the arches and all the vegetation inside. I think it gives a very peaceful feeling and makes you want to stop for a moment and just look around. That is why I wanted to leave here a small collection of photos from this part of the museum. There are also two photos that I took from one of the windows where you could see some houses behind the courtyard. What caught my attention was that there was a woman hanging clothes and I thought it was a very everyday scene but also beautiful at the same time, like seeing a small moment of someone else's life from a completely different place.
Una vez dentro ya sí entramos al CCCC, el Centro del Carmen. Siempre que voy acabo haciendo fotos parecidas porque hay algo de este sitio que me encanta. Sobre todo los claustros, los arcos y toda la vegetación que hay dentro. Me parece un lugar que transmite mucha calma y donde apetece parar un rato y simplemente mirar alrededor. Por eso os dejo aquí un conjunto de fotos de esa parte del museo. También hay dos fotos que hice desde una de las ventanas, donde se veían unas viviendas por la parte de detrás del patio. Me llamó la atención la escena porque había una señora tendiendo y me pareció una imagen muy cotidiana pero muy bonita al mismo tiempo, como si durante un momento estuvieras viendo una pequeña escena de la vida de alguien desde otro lugar completamente distinto.
I wanted to show you part of the exhibition because this was probably my favourite area of the museum. I really like this kind of abstract art and this exhibition had something that made it feel even more special. In one of the images you can see a projection that does not look very clear in the photo, but it was showing natural elements that inspired the artist to create these abstract paintings. There were textures that looked like sand from the beach, rocky surfaces, earth and many different details from nature transformed later into art. I found it really interesting to see the original inspiration and then the final result. There was also a very curious detail that I loved, the whole floor of the room was covered with sand, so the feeling was almost like visiting an art exhibition from the beach.
Os dejo aquí una parte de la exposición porque esta fue probablemente la zona que más me gustó del museo. Este tipo de arte abstracto siempre me llama mucho la atención y además esta exposición tenía algo que la hacía todavía más especial. En una de las imágenes que veis aparece una proyección que en foto no se aprecia demasiado bien, pero iba mostrando elementos de la naturaleza que habían inspirado al artista para crear sus cuadros abstractos. Había texturas que recordaban a la arena de la orilla de la playa, superficies rocosas, tierra y diferentes detalles del planeta transformados después en arte. Me pareció súper interesante ver primero el origen y luego cómo acababa convertido en algo completamente distinto. Y además había un detalle muy curioso que me encantó, el suelo de toda la sala era arena, así que la sensación era un poco como estar viendo una exposición desde la playa.
🌏 I hope you enjoyed this small journey through my city, from street art and hidden corners of the old town to the peaceful atmosphere of the Centro del Carmen and its exhibitions.
