When you are tired of the big crowds at the Boardwalk and Santa Cruz Pier head over to Capitola Village. They have a nice little pier and a beach just as sandy as the one in front of the boardwalk. They also have some great shops and ever a Pizza My Heart, the best New York style pizza west of New York, steps off the sand. That is Monterey in the distance.
