Hello, this is Rara!
The second story from Sauraha, Nepal, is all about an exciting jungle exploration. I spent nearly two hours traveling by vehicle, fully immersing myself in the breath of the wild. From the various animals encountered along the way to the mysterious landscapes of the jungle, I’ll share every vivid detail with you starting now

The first photo I want to show you is a rhinoceros that appeared right in the village! I honestly thought it was a lie at first. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a massive rhino even in the largest zoos in Korea, yet I was told this one is actually just a baby. I feel like I’ve witnessed something truly extraordinary right from the start.

Leaving behind the incredible sight in the village, we are now on our way in the designated jungle safari vehicle. Riding in the rugged car and breathing in the jungle air, it feels like the real adventure has truly begun. I’m so excited to see what other mysterious animals we’ll encounter during this nearly two-hour journey!

It turns out there isn't just one course for the jungle exploration! There were other options besides the one we chose. We are currently at a place that feels like the first checkpoint where the real adventure begins. After handing in our tickets here, we finally step into the heart of the mysterious jungle.

To be honest, as soon as we entered, I was filled with worries like, "What if a lion or tiger suddenly appears?" or "Is this vehicle really safe?" I was quite tense because I had heard that elephants as big as houses could be seen. However, once the exploration actually began, I realized it was peaceful and safe, and all those worries quickly faded away.

After passing the checkpoint, we drove across an open plain for quite a long time with nothing much in sight. I expected the jungle to be dense with trees from the very start, but instead, we traveled through these vast, empty plains. It felt strange yet peaceful as we gradually drifted deeper into the heart of the jungle.

The first animal friend we encountered in the jungle was an elephant! The driver intentionally drove the vehicle right up next to it. To our surprise, the elephant reached in with its trunk and tried to grab everything—our phones, bags, and even the food we were holding! We all ended up screaming at the top of our lungs during this unexpected "snack attack" from the elephant.
I really wanted to show you that intense moment through a video, but unfortunately, due to an error, I’ll have to move on and describe it in words instead. Although I couldn't upload the video, I’ll continue the journey, carrying the thrilling memory of the elephant reaching out its trunk!

The second friend we met after the elephant was a crocodile! Can you spot it in the photo? I was a bit scared that it might suddenly charge at us, but it stayed perfectly still. It was such a fascinating yet tense moment to see a wild crocodile up close like this.

And can you see them over there? It’s a herd of deer grazing peacefully. The tension I felt when encountering the elephant and crocodile seemed to melt away as I watched the gentle eyes and calm movements of these deer. Seeing wild deer huddled together like this made me realize once again that I was truly in the heart of living nature.

Along the way, we also encountered these beautiful, nameless birds. Although I didn't know all their names, watching them fly freely among the jungle trees was a truly peaceful sight. The chirping of birds with various colors and shapes added another layer of joy to our jungle exploration.

I also discovered a very mysterious flower during the jungle exploration! In the middle of the deep, green jungle, seeing a vivid red flower in full bloom was such a delightful and welcome sight. Encountering this small yet brilliant spark of life amidst the rugged wilderness was a truly magical moment that revealed another side of the jungle's charm.

I actually captured so many dynamic moments on video, but unfortunately, I can't show them all due to an upload error. I feel a bit sad that there aren't many animals in the photos, but the jungle itself was absolutely overwhelming and magnificent. Just being there and feeling the raw air and scenery of Mother Nature was a truly valuable experience.

This is a beehive. I’ve never seen one this big before, so I was a bit scared since we didn't have any protective gear. But we were safe.

It's a shame, but this is the end of the jungle photos. I have many videos of animals whose exact names I don't know, but I’d love to share them with you if I get the chance.

After wrapping up our schedule in the jungle, we grabbed dinner on the way back and walked safely from the village entrance to our accommodations.

The jungle safari in Sauraha was truly an unforgettable journey. I’d love to go back if I get the chance. The most memorable part was definitely the rhinoceros. While it’s great to see animals roaming freely, I also hope there are measures to keep people safe.
