🦉 The Eurasian bullfinch, common bullfinch or bullfinch (Pyrrhula pyrrhula)
- Pyrrhula (Greek): pyrrhos - red

This cute, plump bird is very conspicuous in winter. Such a bright torture in the middle of the white snow. But in spring and summer they are practically not found in the forests closest to the city. They are quite secretive, and even their flight is silent, the flapping of their wings cannot be heard.

They begin to appear in cities with the arrival of cold weather, somewhere in mid-autumn. And in early snowy spring, you can even hear their whistling, subtle mating songs, which consist of a variety of unintelligible sounds and whistles.
