While searching for Skinks and Geckos on our South Florida Creature Adventure we spotted this beauty.
The Tetrio Sphinx Caterpillar!
This large Caterpillar can grow up to 15 centimeters. Here is a shot which includes my index finger for perspective.
I learned much more by inspecting its Wikipedia entry:

I was most curious to learn what it would turn in to... and was left scratching my head a bit as this incredibly gourgeous Caterpillar turns into this bland, common looking Moth. (No offense).
The perfect subject for some Macro Photography.
The body, with some amazing texture and markings, had to provide a lot of flexibility as this little critter was very active!
The horn on its backside can be up to 2 centimeters long.
We left our little friend where we found her and were on our way to our next discovery...
