Why Upvote Articles but not your own Comments?
Steemit is designed around rewarding content creating. Steemit needs to be a community and not just a platform to post and vent. When I login to Facebook I see everyone's opinions and it gets old quickly. Our world is losing the ability to communicate. Instead, everyone things they are blessing others by stating their one sided opinions.
Create a Community
To have a community you must have communication and relationships. You should reward those who put thoughtful comments on your posts by commenting and up-voting. We need to welcome opposing views and not seek a cheer leading club. We also need to reward those who consume the information similar to we reward those creating the information. An environment which is lopsided will be faulty at best.
Use Steem Power for Attention
Steem Power is designed to give more influence and attention to those who have the most steem power and reputation. Therefore, up-vote comments you post on good articles so others can be aware you are contributing and part of the Steem Community.
Authors Reward Your Comments
Steemit is getting spammed with copy and paste comments. Do not reward these actions because they are lowing the quality of our community. Do up-vote your comments as these are your supporters and the one's growing from your posts.
