Hello fellow Steemians! Perhaps you've heard Southeastern North Carolina or the Cape Fear River region mentioned in the news lately due the GenX water pollution revelation. VICE News also produced a segment titled "Meathooked" last week that features industrial hog farming in Duplin County North Carolina. Red-Tailed Farm operates right next door in Pender County, and we are trying to offer area consumers an alternative with our natural forest-raised pork. While I don't always agree with VICE's editorial slant, the video is worth watching and will give you an idea of the sort of environmental challenges we are facing in our part of the world.
We would love to hear from other small farmers about the issues relevant to your region.
