House 2nd Layer
My 800 calorie diet has been going well. I've stucked to the plan my medical doctor has given me. The only complaint I have is the skin under my chin is getting baggy. I am starting to look my age, which is 58 years old...hahaha
But that's okay, I have a great deal of energy, and I am able to walk 4 miles a day in the morning without any flagging of my energy level. In fact, walking seems to wind up my battery, and I feel happier and more alert. I don't know how much weight I've lost because I told my doctor I don't want to know. I go for my weigh ins and don't look at the scales. I am trying to lose around 20-27lbs. The doctor told me last month I've lost 10lbs so far and I've probably lost even more this month, but I told him I don't want to know how much I've lost this last month. My doctor did tell me I have about 2 more months to go before I reach my goal. I have reestablished my good habits and cut out cream in my coffee, table sugar, my favorite snack, popcorn, and baked goods.
At the bottom of my article I have posted another picture drawn by my Granddaughter E, she is a budding artist and has enjoyed learning about cryptocurrency. E will be 9 years old, I thought she was going to be 10 this year. No, I am not getting old! I've always had a poor memory regarding people's birthday and age, this quality is part of being a creative genius I guess, along with my total lack of direction, I get lost easily, and I have a horrible time remembering names, dates, and addresses. I can't remember my own phone number, but I never forget a face or landmark. I take notes, I am extremely organized, learned to read maps, and built a memory palace to cope with my memories weaknesses.
I Will Be Working On The Rose Bush Today
The last week I've been reading several books on Odin. I became fascinated with Odin and the Viking Way when I was researching for my painting. I learned about Odin when my husband and I started watching "Mr. Wedensday and fell in love with the lead character played by Ian McShane; I find rugged looking men very handsome.
Besides my reading project I have been working on writing and editing on a project with my Husband called The Early Schools of Indian Buddhism Series, which takes an hour or two out of my work schedule. Thank goodness my husband does all the research, which takes a lot of reading and searching the digital libraries for old journals and books. Most of the best books were written before World War II. We think the best research happened during that time because scholars weren't researching and writing books on Buddhism for profit. Plus the publishers weren't dictating content, which has made a significant impact on what exactly gets published.
Because I spent a great deal of time reading about the lost religion of the Vikings I haven't been working full time on my painting. I feel a whole new series of paintings on the way, but I have no clue exactly what they are, it's kind of like having a baby. I won't know until the idea is born, so I am patient and taking care to feed my creative fetuses; hopefully, I will birth a litter of cool paintings!
The house is still not finished, I will clean up the lines and add more layers when the paintings second layer is finished, and I start on the 3rd layer of paint. The 3rd layer consists of details and deepening shadows and cleaning up lines.
