My entry to #spookytree contest 
Looking at the little face in this birch tree while leaving my friend’s driveway will make hairs stand up on the back of my neck and a cold breeze sweep over me.
If you look closely up from the middle of the birch trunk, there is a face watching from the circle. I think it is a nature spirit.
The tree is along my friend’s driveway and seems to watch all who leave her home.
I mentioned it to my friend. She went out to look at the tree and was surprised to see the face. She hadn’t noticed it before I pointed it out and said it wasn’t the face of anyone she recognized.

A nature spirit is not the same as a haunting ghost who may be scaring the bejeezus out of you but it is an example of another type of spirit that connect us to the Faerie Realm, a parallel dimension.
Trees have a close relationship with humans and can keep us grounded. They can transmute our negative energies and help us heal. Meditating beside one with a known tree spirit can be especially helpful in dispelling negative energies.
