I've been witnessing a ton of community spirit on the Steem Blockchain lately.
Seeing a ton of people tuning into and getting active on the first State of Steem Forum
hosted last Thurs
Seeing lots of project leaders/witnesses being proactive with how they can improve the State of Steem
Catching
's twitter attempt to get Steem on stateofthedapps.com, and then seeing the
community and others work their magic on this, and then seeing Steem getting listed
Catching
's detailed presentation on what he thinks about Steem price sustainability, and more importantly promoting healthy behaviour on the platform, something he's been preaching about for ages.
Seeing
inspiring so many in the Dtube community to engage and give back
Catching
's community experiment to get everyone to share why they love Steem, what we can do with Steem and to see if there's anything they can do to give some value back to the community. #crimsaystakeaction
Just to list a few of the awesome things I came across!
All very very inspiring stuff!
Which has made me really think about my place here on the platform, and what I can do more to give back?
Admittedly I was a lot more active behind the scenes earlier this year, which I had to take down a few notches before and over the summer.
But I was still organizing regular London meetups because meeting other Steemians in person and getting others to as well, is a bit of a passion of mine. Which got me to think..
One of the London Meetups this year
As far as I'm aware, there is no website that anyone can go to and see what, when and where a Steem meetup is on. Please correct me if I'm wrong here!
If there really isn't, I'd love to (help) start this.
A simple website where anyone can look for any meetups happening in any country/city, and the details for that meetup.
A website that will pop up (hopefully first) if anyone searches for Steem meet up.
I imagine this would be helpful for any newbie who doesn't know that many people yet (from their country) on the platform, and would love to learn more from one. I know I did when I attended my first meet up!
Another idea I had... and this is inspired by listening to on the State of Steem Forum last Thurs. A lot of people were brought onto Steem by the likes of Jerry Banfield, etc. He did the work, he made the videos and he blasted them out there. But it's time for more to step up and do the same.
With the new channel Sarah Louise @Ultravioletmag and I are starting (which when it picks up, will also be a great platfrom to promote Steem), I am going to need as much practice as I can get with creating content, improving camera presence and video editing, and the biggest challenge of all combining fun and technical stuff :P
Need more practice on Video Editing!!
So... I'm thinking if I should also make some fun tutorial videos about Why I love Steem, How to get started on Steem, How to buy Steem, What Dapps are there on Steem blockchain to utilize, etc etc.
Is there any need for me to do this? How many tutorials are already out there?
I'd love some honest feedback on this, and please also list out the Steem tutorials you know of that are around and being watched.
(As I typed this, I did a quick Youtube search for "how to sign up on steem", and I'd say yes there's space for me to do stuff like this) But I'd still love to hear what you think!
Thanks for watching/reading! I'd really love to know what you think about this.
I love this platform and especially our community, and I'd love to do a bit more for it again!
Excuse all the um's and you know's, and the 0% make up in the video, was pretty tired but wanted to fit this in before bed ;)
