Hello there!
Recently I have been seeing some of my friends still going strong playing Splinterlands, and I thought maybe I should go explore some of the newer sections in the game site!
And that's when I noticed I had more than 30,000 Glint which I have earned and saved up some time back!
Since I have been losing some brawl battles against teams with newer cards, I thought why not get some new cards? So it's time do some math.
- Legendary cards were definitely out because I had insufficient Glint
- I could get 2 Epic cards for 30,000 Glint but that would almost entirely wiped out all my Glint. Perhaps variety is more important since some cards are quite situational, so I should go with 1 Epic.
- That leaves 15,838 Glint for the remaining Rare and Common cards. Many possible combinations, but let's get 5 Rare cards and see how it goes!
So here's the unboxing! Been a long time since I bought/redeemed such cards (other than Gladius cards). Fingers crossed if I managed to get some Gold Foils (are they even Gold Foils?). Ah yes, they have it! 1% chance. Hehe. Pretty amazed I had so many potions from last time.
Oh and I got a Dragon card - Kazira Valestrik! On first glance, 2 pretty useful abilities. Flying is definitely good for all the Earthquake battles, and coupled with a high speed, it's not easy to hit. Immunity is definitely one of the important abilities in those Poison battles. Not sure what other options are out there, but I am pretty satisfied with this one!
Next up, 5 Rare cards! Let's draw all of them together!
Hmm not sure if it's luck based or are there only 2 types of Rare cards? No Gold Foils either. Both are Magic cards. Not too excited over the Earth one because I don't really use Earth element, but the Neutral card should be quite interesting with a Phase ability.
So I will need to think how best to spend my remaining 8,338 Glint! Should I pull more Rare cards or do I go for Common cards? Will do a Part 2! Hopefully I have better luck!
That's all I have! Let me know if you have any thoughts too!
As always, thanks for reading and have a pleasant day ahead!
