And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb. And she conceived, and bare a son; and said, God hath taken away my reproach: And she called his name Joseph; and said,The Lord shall add to me another son. Genesis 30:22-24
Explanation
Our text states that the lord remembered Rachel, suggesting that she had been forgotten. I believe this had
happened because Leah had entered into the rest of God by giving birth to the seventh child especially it being a girl. This solidified her position as the first wife and at the same time Racheal conceded and was content with being the second wife. I also believe that because Rachel had not really had a child of her own, she felt forgotten and abandoned by God. But eventually, God remembered her and took away her reproach. Have you been married for so long without a child and have become a reproach to your in-laws? Did you and your spouse decide to adopt a child and even though you really cherish the child there is still this vacuum inside of you that desires your own child? Fret not yourself; just treat the adopted as your own child
the same way Pharaoh's daughter nourished Moses as her own child (explained in prayer 23).God will remember you and open your womb in Jesus Name
Prayer
Father, I ask that YOU remember me today and every door that closed against me hitherto opens in Jesus Name. I reverse every circumstance in myself that has brought reproach to my life in Jesus Name. I reverse every sickness that has brought reproach to my life in Jesus Name
