In a previous post, A New Name, I told you that we will be changing the name of the church where I serve, this coming weekend. It is an exciting event that is filling my thoughts right now. Sharing the new name here before sharing it with the members of our church would not be right. But I am hoping to peek your interest and get you to look forward to when I do post the new name here. I know 
Here is why we looked for a new name:
- We want to reintroduce ourselves to the neighbourhood, community and city.
- We want to re-engage in serving, caring, and transforming our community.
- We want to renew our original desire to reach people far from God.
The following is what we wanted in this new name:
- A name that communicates mission
- A name that reflects who we are
- A name that has an ancient and future quality
- A name that appeals to both genders
- A name that generates curiosity
- A name that indicates movement over destination
- A name that is relational
