Siempre comienzo a dibujar y estructurar la figura humana con líneas claras. En el video no grabé cuando hago la cuadrícula del retrato y por eso parece que hago el retrato directo sin realizar cánones de la cabeza humana ni mediciones pero la cuadrícula no se ve por hacer las líneas tan claras y por la intensidad de la luz. Más adelante voy dibujando progresivamente los valores tonales medios a bajos intercalando con sombreados con el pincel seco sobre las zonas de piel. Mayoritariamente retoco los ojos y labios con líneas y dejo para casi el final, los detalles del cabello porque me es difícil realizarlos y sobretodo los pelos claros(blancos y rubios) Dibujé el fondo con valores bajos para que contrastara con la figura humana.
I always begin drawing and structuring the human figure with clear lines. In the video, I didn’t record when I made the grid for the portrait, so it seems as if I drew it directly without using the canons of the human head or measurements. However, the grid isn’t visible because the lines are so light and the lighting is intense. Later on, I progressively draw the mid to low tonal values, alternating with shading using the dry brush on the skin areas. I mostly retouch the eyes and lips with lines, leaving the hair details for almost the end, since they are difficult to do—especially the lighter strands (white and blond). I drew the background with low tonal values so it would contrast with the human figure.

- bolígrafo transformado a portaminas de minas 5B
- otra hoja de papel
To create the portrait, I used:
HB2 pencil
- 2B pencil
- Brush
- Kneaded eraser
- Pen transformed into a 5B mechanical pencil
- Another sheet of paper
