Bussard Ramjet 

The Bussard Ramjet, or Interstellar Ram jet, uses thousand-kilometer-wide fields to scoop up hydrogen molecules, then it is compressed until it makes Nuclear Fusion, then it is directed and shoot's all the compacted hydrogen, or Nuclear energy out causing acceleration.

Alcubierre Drive  

This is known as a warp drive, it basically contracts the space ahead of it an expands the space behind it.

This cause's a wave that the ship can ride going as fast or faster than light.
