The Biblical "Garden of Eden" is actually Kashmir. Holger Kersten stated this in his book "Jesus Lived in India". Though some people found this statement to be controversial but nobody can deny the natural beauty of Kashmir.
Unfortunately I have never been to Kashmir, but in June 2016 I came to know about a place called Daringbadi which is called the Kashmir of the Indian state Odhisa.
Since the place is situated at a distance less than 1000 Kilometers from my home, we planned a road trip along with friends.
The Road Trip
We started for the destination at around 1 AM from my home after finishing our dinner. This time we did not take our motorcycles, instead we preferred a car for the team of 7.
The car is a 7 seater SUV but people sitting on the extreme rear seats found it uncomfortable after driving for sometime. They realized that it won't be possible for them to complete the trip if they sit in the same position, such uncomfortable it was. We decided to sit on those seats alternatively instead of dropping the plan while we were in the middle of it.
In the morning before reaching Daringbadi, the forest that we had to cross was an excellent place to click some photographs. As we stopped there I first went to pee in the woods as I badly had to, but unfortunately could not complete and had to leave in a hurry after I noticed a sign-board "DRIVE SLOW AND BE CAREFUL ABOUT ELEPHANTS".
It took another 2 hours to reach our destination but we all got disappointed after reaching the entrance of the district. The residents kept boulders on the road to restrict entry. Upon asking we got the information that the protest is about the illegal liquor shops., but on our request the protesters agreed to give us entry.
While returning from Daringbadi we also visited a nearby Buddhist Monastery and a Natural Hot Water Spring called Taptapani.
The hot water was getting stored at a small mane mad pool and we dipped our feet to that to feel refreshed.
