in the year 2016 I was on the road for a whole 2 weeks for an event in Las Vegas where I could experience a lot of things, learn and take home impressions.
During my 11.5 hour flight from Frankfurt (FRA) to McCarran International Airport (LAS) I was sitting in a seat which is not the most comfortable but I could relax and enjoy the free soft drinks.
Arriving at the airport in Las Vegas one was led directly through the Immigration Control. Thank God, I was simply waved by what is not the case with many other air travellers to the States.
Once out of the airport area in the terminal, you can see the first gaming stations and sales stands for merchandise around Las Vegas, very impressive as the first point of contact, NOT; -)
With the taxi it went then to the strip, left and right everywhere the imposing hotels and casinos, they were really impressive of their size.
We had decided to stay at the HardRock Hotel to wake up and go to sleep with the right music for 2 weeks, if you could sleep; -)
Of course you are not only for working in Las Vegas, there was also a little slot machine and table games in it; -)
During our Fridays we got a rental car and drove to Boulder City outside of Las Vegas to grab a snack and some souvenirs.
Unfortunately not our rental car after all. :(
Our goal was to visit the Hoover Dam, where we drove 40 minutes from Las Vegas by car on the highway to Arizona and experienced one of the largest dams in the world. I must say I was very impressed by the size and power of this building.
Last but not least we had a delicious dinner at the Hard Rock Hotel!
I hope you have gotten some nice impressions of me and of course of the fascinating city that was just stomped out of the ground in the desert.

im Jahre 2016 war ich für eine Veranstaltung in Las Vegas für ganze 2 Wochen unterwegs und konnte dort eine Menge erleben, erfahren und auch Eindrücke mit nach Hause nehmen.
Während meinem 11,5 Stunden Flug von Frankfurt (FRA) nach McCarran International Airport (LAS) saß ich in einem Sitz, der wohl wie alle es kennen nicht der gemütlichste ist aber man konnte sich ausruhen und die kostenlosen Softdrinks genießen.
Am Flughafen in Las Vegas angekommen wurde man direkt durch die Immigration Control geführt. Gott sei Dank wurde ich einfach durch gewinkt, was bei vielen anderen Flugreisenden in die Staaten nicht der Fall ist.
Einmal aus dem Flughafenbereich im Terminal raus, sieht man direkt die ersten Spielstationen und Verkaufsstände für Merchandise rund um Las Vegas, sehr beeindruckend als erster Anlaufspunkt, NICHT ;-)
Mit dem Taxi ging es dann an den Strip, links und rechts überall die imposanten Hotels und Casinos, sie waren echt beeindruckend von Ihrer Baugröße.
Wir hatten uns für das HardRock Hotel entschieden um die 2 Wochen dort mit der richtigen Musik wach werden und schlafen gehen, sofern man schlafen konnte ;-)
Natürlich ist man nicht nur zum Arbeiten in Las Vegas, ein bisschen Slotmachine und Table-Games waren auch drin ;-)
Während unseren Freitagen haben wir uns ein Mietwagen geholt und sind etwas ausserhalb von Las Vegas nach Boulder City gefahren um dort einen Snack zu ergattern und Souveniers abzustauben.
Leider dann doch nicht unser Mietwagen geworden. :(
Unser Ziel war an dem Tag, den Hoover Dam zu besichtigen, hier sind wir noch ca. 40 min von Las Vegas mit dem Auto auf dem Highway Richtung Arizona gefahren und haben dort einen der größten Staudämme der Welt erlebt. Ich muss sagen ich war sehr Beeindruckt von der Größe und Kraft dieses Bauwerks.
Zu guter letzt gabs im Hard Rock Hotel ein sehr leckeres Abendessen!
Ich hoffe ihr habt ein paar schöne Eindrücke von mir erhalten und natürlich auch von der faszinierenden Stadt die einfach so in der Wüste aus dem Boden gestampft wurde.
