Good night to all my beloved hive friends ♥️
In this post, I will share an experience and moment of my success in finding two different wasps in the forest. Both wasps have their own differences and characteristics, but behind the macro lens, both wasps look so beautiful and extraordinary.
However, to find these two wasps, I first had to enter the forest. It was not easy to find them because they are very fast-flying insects. This was an extraordinary experience, as I managed to find them and also capture their beauty.
The first one I found was a pottery wasp, this wasp looks very unique with several colors on its body, if you look at it visually the main colors are yellow and black.
Until now, the potter wasp is still one of the most beautiful and interesting types of wasp in my opinion. This wasp has a very slender waist shape and looks very thin and long which functions to connect the chest with the abdomen.
If we look more closely, we can see the round abdomen of this wasp, which is covered in several colors-black, yellow, and orange.
According to the information I know, this wasp is also very skilled at building its nest from mud and that is unique to it. Different from the way of life of bees, this wasp prefers to live solitary and far from its colony.
To perfectly capture the beauty of this wasp, I tried photographing it from various angles, and this time I even attempted something quite daring-taking photos from a very close distance. Of course, this was quite risky, as this wasp has a highly venomous sting.
However, we don't need to worry because this wasp has a very sensitive nature,It prefers to avoid humans, but it can become aggressive when it feels threatened.
We have seen the beauty and uniqueness of the potter wasp, and now it's time for us to witness the uniqueness of the Vespa wasp, which appears more serious and far more intimidating.
And this is a Vespa wasp that I managed to find resting on a wildflower. This wasp also has several unique characteristics, which can clearly be seen in its shape and coloration. Unlike the previous wasp, this Vespa species tends to have a darker body and a much more intimidating appearance.
Another difference is that this wasp lives in colonies, and the size of its nest continues to grow as the colony expands. This wasp is also known for being highly aggressive, so it is strongly recommended to avoid getting too close to it.
I have a story about this wasp. A few years ago, when my friends and I were exploring the forest, we suddenly discovered a large wasp nest hanging in a tree.I immediately avoided the nest, but one of my friends became curious and decided to throw a stone at it,not long after the wasp colony immediately attacked my friend which resulted in my friend getting several stings on his body, the bad news was that he even developed a fever after being stung.
This experience proved that this is a very aggressive type of wasp, and it will not hesitate to attack whenever it feels threatened.
To get maximum results, I also tried to photograph this wasp from various different angles, but I didn't dare to get too carried away, I know this is a dangerous thing.
