Researchers at the Eindhoven University of Technology have developed a smart arm bracelet called Nightwatch. This comfortable bracelet detects signs of severe seizures and contacts care staff.
It is capable of accurately measuring heart rate and motion of its carrier throughout the night while a person lying in on bed to sense for an unusually high heart or rhythmic jolting characteristic of a seizure.
The device offers high level of accuracy and has been tested for several years at the epilepsy institutes Sein and Kempenhaege.
Above all, this device was tested and found to be safe according to the European Standard for Medical Devices.
