Hello gente de Hive! Qué tal su día? Por aquí uno bastante pesadito, con un poco de malestar aún y sin ganas de hacer absolutamente nada, pero lamentablemente no se puede, toca atender la casa, a los chicos, preparar comida, trabajar, etc, etc, y a pesar de todo decidí venir con ustedes para no perder mi rutina que últimamente está un poco desordenada y aunque trato de retomar el mismo ritmo está costado un poco, pero aquí estamos.
Eso sí, hoy sin receta y sin manualidades, porque en serio ni ganas de tomar fotitos, pero gracias al mismo desorden que tengo con mis publicaciones, hay muchas cosas que aún no les comparto, como por ejemplo una visita muy especial a casa de unas amigas que después de muchos años fuera del país vinieron a visitar a sus familiares y por supuesto yo tenía que ir a saludar.
Hello, Hive community! How’s your day going? I’m feeling a bit under the weather here, still a bit unwell and not in the mood to do absolutely anything, but unfortunately that’s not an option – I’ve got to look after the house, the kids, cook meals, work, and so on, and despite everything I decided to join you all so as not to lose my routine, which has been a bit all over the place lately. Although I’m trying to get back into the swing of things, it’s proving a bit of a struggle, but here we are.
Mind you, today there’s no recipe and no crafts, because I honestly can’t be bothered to take any photos, but thanks to the same mess I’ve got with my posts, there are lots of things I haven’t shared with you yet, such as a very special visit to some friends’ house who, after many years abroad, came to visit their family and, of course, I had to go and say hello.
Se trata se Nathalie y Diana, dos chicas que conozco desde mis 17 años y que crecieron prácticamente a mi lado, y es que cuando las conocí eran unas niñas, asi que viví su infancia, adolescencia de primera mano. Visitaban muchísimo mi casa y yo la de sus padres, ya que su mamá era mi amiga, pero terminé comoartiendo con las chicas mucho más que con su mamá, ya que eran mis colaboradoras en el Ministerio Infantil de la iglesia.
En fin, ambas hace muchos años ya no viven en la Isla, Diana porque junto con su esposo están como Misioneros en México hace 8 años ya, y Nathalie hace 10 que se fue a Ecuador buscando un mejor futuro, y hace un mes aproximadamente vinieron las dos con su familia.
I’m talking about Nathalie and Diana, two girls I’ve known since I was 17 and who practically grew up alongside me; after all, when I met them they were just little girls, so I witnessed their childhood and teenage years first-hand. They used to visit my house all the time, and I would visit their parents’ home, as their mum was a friend of mine, but I ended up spending much more time with the girls than with their mum, as they were my colleagues in the church’s Children’s Ministry.
Anyway, neither of them has lived on the island for many years now: Diana because she and her husband have been serving as missionaries in Mexico for eight years now, and Nathalie because she left for Ecuador ten years ago in search of a better future. About a month ago, they both came back with their families.
Nati ya tiene dos niños (Ethan y Derek), al al mayor ya lo conocía porque vino hace 4 años a la isla, pero al más pequeño no, así que estaba feliz de poder verlos a ambos, y por supuesto a Nathalie.
Por su parte Diana vino con una súper sorpresa, y es que para el mes de Agosto van a recibir a su primer bebé, así que fue una visita súper especial, cargada de emociones y momentos lindos. Tanto así que Derek decidió adelantar su cumpleaños para celebrarlo con nosotros (fui con Matías y Miranda) aunque el cumple años en Agosto 🤣🤣
Nati already has two children (Ethan and Derek); I’d already met the eldest because he came to the island four years ago, but not the youngest, so I was delighted to see them both – and, of course, Nathalie.
As for Diana, she came with a huge surprise: they’re expecting their first baby in August, so it was a really special visit, full of emotions and lovely moments. So much so that Derek decided to bring his birthday forward to celebrate it with us (I went with Matías and Miranda), even though his birthday is actually in August 🤣🤣
La verdad fue una tarde noche de muchas risas, de recordar tantas cosas que vivimos y de disfrutar del poder estar juntos una vez más.
It really was a late evening filled with laughter, reminiscing about all the things we’ve been through, and enjoying being together once again.
