El majestuoso obelisco de Barquisimeto que es un valuarte, y un monumento insignia de los Barquisimetanos que se encuenta ubicado en la ciudad de Barquisimeto, especificamente en el estado Lara, Venezuela.
Se ubica exactamente al oeste de la ciudad y su construcción data del año 1952, cuando fue construido, con motivo a los 400 años de la fundación de la ciudad. La estructura consta de una gran torre de base rectangular solidad de 75 metros aproximadamente de altura, la cual está compuesta principalmente de concreto y acero, contando con un ascensor interno y un reloj en el extremo superior.
Es importante mencionar que esta obra está conformado por una gran estructura en concreto armado, de base rectangular que alcanza los 75 m de altura siendo el mayor obelisco del país. La misma fue construida por el ingeniero Rafael José Raga.
En la parte superior, el ascensor llega a un salón mirador desde donde se puede observar gran parte de la ciudad, además, en la cara principal del mismo se sitúa un gran reloj.😀
