About two years ago now, my girlfriend an I took a trip around Greece. She is from there, so it was nice to get to go and visit her in the summer when we are usually a few thousand miles apart.
We started in Athens in an area called Vouliagmeni (where she is from) and got to see the beaches on the Athens Riviera as well as getting a chance to head downtown and see the Acropolis/local bars and restaurants.
Next we went to an island called Idra to spend time with some of her friends. Idra is much more of a traditional island as no cars are even allowed, it is just beaches and great small restaurants.
Then we went over to Santorini to see some really nice sunsets and visit one of the most photographed tourist locations in Greece.
Before heading back for a few nights in Athens we stopped in Mykonos to check out some of the more lively beaches in the country.
Hope you enjoy some of our pictures from the trip. Greece is a great spot and I hope you are all able to enjoy it at some point.
A little shot of me in front of the Acropolis in downtown Athens.
A shot from a beach called Astir Beach in Vouliagmeni, Athens.
Here is a shot from a quiet beach in Idra that happened to have some of the best tzatziki we would have on our trip (apologies for not getting a pic!)
Here is a shot of us from a club called Island on the Athens Riviera.
Here is a shot of a beautiful beach we went to in Mykonos.
Here is a shot of a beautiful sunset we got to see in Mykonos.
Here is a shot of my girlfriend looking out at the iconic Mykonos windmills.
Here is a shot from Santorini from a restaurant called Ambrosia, it looks out at a picturesque cliff filled with homes and hotels.
Here is another view from our place in Santorini!
One more for good measure!
Here's one more shot from our last day in Athens before I went home. The boat is not mine, but it could be if Hive hits $25!
