An All new Witness Voting Experience
Problem: witnesses campaigning outside the top 50 (including myself) are unfairly represented on Steemit's voting website, requiring users to write-in votes. There is also a lack of information present when voting for these witnesses... Hell, you don't even know if the top 50 witnesses have their node up to date or if it's operational.
Solution: a voting GUI that includes the top 199 witnesses and a better general overview of everyone's witness performance.
Take a look (note: functionality finished, UI not quite).
Some Information
Release Date: within the next week.
Security: uses active private key. Only used to make the api call to change your votes. Never stored or used for anything else. Once I am finished with the UI and make a few tweaks, I will make the code open source and available to all.
Are those the actual witnesses I am voting for? No... I kept switching witnesses when I was testing. I'll change them back around when I am finished with this project.
Note: received some inspiration from and his Witness Stats project. There are quite a few top 100 witnesses who are inactive and/or disabled. With his information site and my soon to be released voting GUI, I forsee a more knowledgable Steemian voting community.
Cheers!
