La spiaggia dei Conigli
Tappa obbligatoria, ricordo che fu, alla spiaggia o isola dei Conigli.
Non bisogna lasciarsi ingannare dal suo nome; infatti, anche se sarebbe carino, non ci sono conigli che saltellano.
Questa spiaggia e l'istmo sono stati effettivamente nominati erroneamente perché un ammiraglio inglese l'aveva chiamata "Rabit Island" (con una B) ed è stata interpretata male.
Quando c'è la bassa marea, puoi attraversare l'istmo dalla spiaggia al minuscolo isolotto.
L'acqua qui è spettacolare, profonda e ricca di vita marina .
Molte delle spiagge sono attrezzate con ristoranti e caffè e altre sono completamente selvagge.
Alcuni dei migliori possono essere esplorati in barca o potrebbero richiedere un po' di trekking, ma ne vale la pena!
Lo snorkeling è lo sport più popolare qui poiché la vita marina prospera nelle acque calde. I delfini e le balene sono spesso avvistati.
È l'unico sito in Italia dove le tartarughe marine caretta vengono a deporre le uova tra maggio e agosto.

Obligatory stop, I remember it was, at the beach or Isola dei Conigli.
Don't be fooled by its name; in fact, although it would be nice, there are no rabbits hopping around.
This beach and isthmus were actually misnamed because an English admiral called it "Rabit Island" (with one B) and it was misinterpreted.
When the tide is low, you can cross the isthmus from the beach to the tiny islet. The water here is spectacular, deep and full of marine life. Many of the beaches are equipped with restaurants and cafes and others are completely wild.
Some of the best can be explored by boat or may require some trekking, but it's worth it!
Snorkeling is the most popular sport here as marine life thrives in the warm waters.
Dolphins and whales are often sighted. It is the only site in Italy where loggerhead sea turtles come to lay their eggs between May and August.
