When you have apples and nut-butter lying around and feeling hungry, turn them into charming little apple breadless sandwiches. These are super-simple to make and healthy to eat. Apples and nut-butter along with granola and hemp seeds, and a touch of cinnamon, makes super satisfying breakfast.
Apple sandwiches are great for both adults and kids. I have used peanut butter but instead of peanut butter, you can use almond butter or any seed butter. I like the texture of granola but there are many other options for toppings like chocolate chips, shredded coconut, and chia seeds.
INGREDIENTS
1 Apple, cored and cut crosswise into 1/2-inch thick rounds
2 Tablespoons Nut butter

Granola
Hemp seeds
Cinnamon
DIRECTIONS
STEP 1 Spread one side of half of the apple slices with peanut or almond butter then sprinkle with and granola, hempseeds and cinnamon.
STEP 2 Top with remaining apple slices, pressing down gently to make the sandwiches. Enjoy!
