St. Joseph’s Church - Victoria St., Singapore
Singaporeans, doesn’t need to go to Spain to get a glimpse of Gothic Portuegese Architecture. You already have one in your neighbourhood!
It’s none other tahn St. Joseph’s Church along Victoria Street.
It was built by the Portuguese Mission in 1853, to serve Portuguese and Eurasian Catholics in Singapore. A church of devotion that practises many Portuguese Catholic traditions.
It was declared as a national monument on 14 January 2005.
It is now undergoing an extensive restoration work due to the natural wear and tear, soil settlement and buildings age.
I can only take a few shots of the visible part of the church due to the works but Hopefully will get a glimpse of the restored church soon.
They are still seeking for donation inorder to complete the ongoing works.
