Family always comes first. Here's mine:
I am an entrepreneur and own my own home contracting business doing residential renovations since 2010. I am also a personal life coach. I have always had a passion for helping others succeed. I worked for many years in the banking industry, until I was laid off in 2009 as a result of the housing market crash. I was home driving my wife crazy. The six-month severance package had already expired, but I knew I couldn’t go back to the corporate world.
My wife suggested I become a handyman just to make some extra money since I created a gorgeous finished basement from the slabs of concrete and open ceiling entirely by myself. I even learned how to do the electrical and plumbing from watching youtube videos and talking extensively with the guys at Home Depot. Those side jobs soon turned into a full business, Love Your Home Contracting.

I plan to use Steemit to give advice for your own home DIY projects or problems. You can ask me anything you want. It is very scary when you are paying a lot of money for home renovations. At the same time, I will also try to give inspiration on how you, too, can succeed in your business or life and maintain the balance between career and family.
Today’s Tip
If you are using a contractor, get three references and call them. You’d be surprised how many clients don’t follow up with calling past customers. So many contractors out there don’t finish the jobs they start. You want to make sure your contractor is reliable, honest, and trustworthy.
