For as long as I could remember, my good friend had been telling me about Steemit. I also saw several posts by my friends
and
and I knew I must sign-up, right away!
I was on a long break from work, when I joined and I'd been saving this introduction for a time when I could start to post consistently, while posting some of my favorite pictures, until then.
My name is Roger Clive Loren. I live in Mumbai, India and I'm a Music Producer, Sound Engineer and Musician.
I was born in a peaceful coastal town called Mangalore, located in southern India, to a family that has always encouraged me to work hard and follow my dreams. However, I began by doing the most ordinary thing and ended up working in a very boring finance job, where my dreams began to fade away with every passing day. I don't regret those years as I met some of the greatest people I know today and learnt so many things. Most importantly, I'd figured out what I don't want to do, in life.

After quitting my job, I decided to move to Mumbai and sharpen my skills. I joined a very good Music Production and Sound Engineering Institute called The Media Tribe, that taught me so much, that it began to scare me to think that I knew so little about something that was so dear to me. During the next two years, I'd felt like I'd lived the twenty-two years of my life all over again. Since the time I moved, I've had the pleasure of working with and learning from some of the greatest artists and professionals in the industry, while making so many like-minded friends.

My journey in professional music began with a lot of exploration. My goal was to try my hand at some of the types of jobs in the music-industry, that I'd shortlisted. Of them all, I have most fun while working on Television Shows. There's something about that organized chaos that I just cannot get enough of. My areas of expertise are music production, recording and mixing. I've worked on live-concerts, reality television shoots, plays, films, jingles, commercials and recording/mixing gigs for bands and artists.

Music has turned from being a hobby that I'm passionate about, into work that I'm more passionate about. Funny as it may sound, there are several times when my mind gets saturated with work and I need a temporary break from the sound of music. This is when I turn to the other things that I love doing, such as biking, photography, cooking and traveling (as you all might have already seen in my posts).

I LOVE GUITARS. I can't always afford them, but I keep buying more guitars than I can possibly play on, whenever I can. I even designed and built one of my guitars, with the help of my friends. Just like my petrol-head friends obsess over their cars, I work on my guitars. I'm either modifying them to please my ears, or adding to my collection of guitar gear.

I'm a car and motorcycle fanatic. Probably not as much as a lot of my other friends, who are nuts. There's nothing like hopping on a fast bike and riding away to a new place. I've had the pleasure of being on several rides and drives, with some of my best friends.

Another thing that I absolutely love doing, is attending concerts and music-festivals. I've been to so many, that I can barely remember them all. Here are a few pictures I clicked of some of the concerts that I've been to:
[Megadeth]
[Slash feat. Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators]
[The Wailers]
[Poets Of The Fall]
[Mark Ronson]
I've also performed at several concerts, with my band and worked on a few.

This is the first time that I've ever written about myself and it wasn't easy. Thank you for taking the time to read through this post.
I live to learn. I use what I learn to create new things, or express myself better. Steemit is an incredible platform for me to share the things that I've learnt and to speak about my experiences, work and travels. Please follow me, if you'd like to know more about my journey!
