Regarded by many in Southeast Asia as the notorious 'King of fruits', the Durian is truly the KING OF FRUITS.
My personal review on this, to be honest, is that I am a Durian junkie. Not only it is smelly, not only it is thorny but it is FINGER LICKING GOOD! The fruit is mainly seasonal, but during the limited time, one have to travel to the plantation itself to dig your hands on it. There are many plantations that can be found , within hours from Kuala Lumpur.
There are many kinds of durians that are mainly famous here in KL, Musang King, Udang Merah, D24, the list goes on. But my personal favorite would be the Musang King. I tell you, the smell alone is powerful that it lingers in the car for WEEKS! But trust me, the taste is just as powerful as the smell. It taste almost creamy BEYOND explanation.
Here's a short drive to the beautiful Kuala Kubu Bahru, Selangor. Stalls like this can be found just about anywhere along the winding country roads.
You must get your hands on a durian, just for fun! :) Enjoy!
